TORONTO, Aug. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for July 2013.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 8 new issuers in July 2013, up from 6 the previous month and down from 10 in July 2012. The new listings include 3 real estate companies, 2 technology companies, 2 mining companies and 1 structured product. Total financings raised in July 2013 was down 14% from June 2013, but was up 16% year-over-year. In July 2013, the total number of financings was 36, which is down from 45 the previous month and 49 in July 2012.
TSX Venture Exchange listed 5 new issuers in July 2013, which is down from 6 the previous month and 8 in July 2012. The new listings include 1 mining company and 4 companies from the Capital Pool Company program. In July 2013, total financings raised increased 40% from June 2013, but was down and 52% from July 2012. There were 114 financings in July 2013, compared to 121 in June 2013 and128 the same month last year.
Five companies graduated from TSX Venture Exchange to Toronto Stock Exchange during July 2013, up from 2 the previous month and from 2 in July 2012.
