Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Aug. 8, 2016 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for July 2016.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 13 new issuers in July 2016, compared with nine in the previous month and 14 in July 2015. The new listings included eight exchange traded funds, four mining companies and one life sciences company. Total financings raised in July 2016 decreased 49% from the previous month, and were up 17% compared to July 2015. The total number of financings in July 2016 was 66, compared with 64 in the previous month and 57 in July 2015.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed nine new issuers in July 2016, compared with one in the previous month and six in July 2015. The new listings included four mining companies, two technology companies, one financial services company, one oil & gas company and one diversified industries company. Total financings raised in July 2016 decreased 34% compared to the previous month, and were down 46% compared to July 2015. There were 178 financings in July 2016, compared with 174 in the previous month and 133 in July 2015.
