Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, April 7, 2015 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for March 2015.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 9 new issuers in March 2015, compared with 13 in February 2015 and 5 in March 2014. The new listings included 6 exchange traded funds, 2 closed-end funds and 1 mining company. Total financings raised in March 2015 increased 154% compared to the previous month, and increased 202% compared to March 2014. There were 4 large transactions that accounted for almost $5.8 billion of the total financings raised on Toronto Stock Exchange in March 2015. The total number of financings in March 2015 was 64, compared with 60 in the previous month and 52 in March 2014.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 6 new issuers in March 2015, compared with 3 in the previous month and 6 in March 2014. The new listings included 2 companies from the Capital Pool Company program, 1 life sciences company, 1 technology company, 1 mining company and 1 oil & gas company. Total financings raised increased 46% from the previous month and decreased 37% compared with March 2014. There were 111 financings in March 2015, compared with 98 in the previous month and 152 in March 2014.
