Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, April 7, 2016 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for March 2016.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 14 new issuers in March 2016, compared with seven in the previous month and nine in March 2015. The new listings included 11 exchange traded funds, two oil and gas companies and one life sciences company. Total financings raised in March 2016 increased 209% from the previous month, and were down 19% compared to March 2015. The total number of financings in March 2016 was 73, compared with 22 in the previous month and 64 in March 2015.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed three new issuers in March 2016, compared with five in the previous month and six in March 2015. The new listings included two mining companies and one Capital Pool Company. Total financings raised in March 2016 increased 73% from the previous month, and were up 23% compared to March 2015. There were 98 financings in March 2016, compared with 73 in the previous month and 111 in March 2015.
