Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, April 9, 2018 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for March 2018.
TSX welcomed 13 new issuers in March 2018, compared with 10 in the previous month and five in March 2017. The new listings included 10 exchange traded funds, one closed-end fund and two life sciences companies. Total financings raised in March 2018 decreased 11% from the previous month, and were down 37% compared to March 2017. The total number of financings in March 2018 was 42, compared with 38 the previous month and 56 in March 2017.

TSXV welcomed 11 new issuers in March 2018, compared with 10 the previous month and 10 in March 2017. The new listings were eight capital pool companies, two mining companies and one technology company. Total financings raised in March 2018 decreased 59% compared to the previous month, and were down 61% compared to March 2017. There were 130 financings in March 2018, compared with 153 in the previous month and 181 in March 2017.
