Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, June 7, 2016 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for May 2016.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed six new issuers in May 2016, compared with 15 in the previous month and 18 in May 2015. The new listings included four exchange traded funds, one real estate company and one closed-end fund. Total financings raised in May 2016 decreased 67% from the previous month, and were down 45% compared to May 2015. The total number of financings in May 2016 was 73, compared with 56 in the previous month and 72 in May 2015.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed four new issuers in May 2016, compared with seven in the previous month and two in May 2015. The new listings included three Capital Pool Companies and one clean technology company. Total financings raised in May 2016 increased 103% from the previous month, and were up 44% compared to May 2015. There were 176 financings in May 2016, compared with 150 in the previous month and 109 in May 2015.
