Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, June 7, 2018 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for May 2018.
TSX welcomed 23 new issuers in May 2018, compared with four in the previous month and 15 in May 2017. The new listings included 17 exchange traded funds, three life sciences companies, one real estate company, one mining company and one technology company. Total financings raised in May 2018 decreased 7% from the previous month, and were down 60% compared to May 2017. The total number of financings in May 2018 was 65, compared with 30 the previous month and 47 in May 2017.

TSXV welcomed 13 new issuers in May 2018, compared with 10 the previous month and six in May 2017. The new listings were 10 capital pool companies, two mining companies and one life sciences company. Total financings raised in May 2018 increased 8% compared to the previous month, and were up 66% compared to May 2017. There were 117 financings in May 2018, compared with 109 in the previous month and 131 in May 2017.
