TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for November 2014.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 11 new issuers in November 2014, down from 21 the previous month, but up from 7 in November 2013. The new listings included 7 exchange traded funds, 2 life sciences companies, 1 oil & gas company and 1 structured product. Total financings raised in November 2014 decreased 54% compared to October 2014, and decreased 68% compared to November 2013. The total number of financings in November 2014 was 45, down from 60 the previous month, and down from 62 the same month a year earlier.
TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 5 new issuers in November 2014, up from 4 the previous month, and up from 3 in November 2013. The new listings included 3 companies from the Capital Pool Company program, 1 mining company and 1 diversified industries company. Total financings raised in November 2014 decreased 39% from October 2014, but increased 22% from November 2013. There were 102 financings in November 2014, down from 128 in October 2014, and down from 114 in November 2013.
