Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Nov. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for October 2014.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 21 new issuers in October 2014, up from 5 the previous month, and up from 13 in October 2013. The new listings included 15 exchange traded funds, 4 structured products, 1 diversified industries company and 1 mining company. Total financings raised in October 2014 decreased 33% compared to September 2014, but increased 22% compared to October 2013. The total number of financings in October 2014 was 60, up from 54 the previous month, but down from 78 the same month a year earlier.
TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 4 new issuers in October 2014, down from 5 in September 2014, and down from 7 in October 2013. The new listings included 2 companies from the Capital Pool Company program and 2 mining companies. Total financings raised in October 2014 increased 64% from September 2014, but decreased 34% from October 2013. There were 128 financings in October 2014, up from 122 in September 2014, but down from 160 in October 2013.
