Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Nov. 6, 2017 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for October 2017.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 22 new issuers in October 2017, compared with 17 in the previous month and 13 in October 2016. The new listings included 17 exchange traded fund, four mining companies and one consumer products & services company. Total financings raised in October 2017 decreased 27% from the previous month, and were down 11% compared to October 2016. The total number of financings in October 2017 was 64, compared with 49 the previous month and 46 in October 2016.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed four new issuers in October 2017, compared with 10 the previous month and five in October 2016. The new listings were four capital pool companies. Total financings raised in October 2017 increased 3% compared to the previous month, but were down 5% compared to October 2016. There were 134 financings in October 2017, compared with 116 in the previous month and 126 in October 2016.
