Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2018 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) for October 2018.
TSX welcomed 14 new issuers in October 2018, compared with 17 in the previous month and 22 in October 2017. The new listings were nine exchange traded funds, two mining companies, one utilities & pipelines company, one technology company and one closed-end fund. Total financings raised in October 2018 decreased 49% from the previous month, and were down 28% compared to October 2017. The total number of financings in October 2018 was 44, compared with 45 the previous month and 64 in October 2017.

TSXV welcomed 14 new issuers in October 2018, compared with 15 the previous month and four in October 2017. The new listings were 11 capital pool companies and three mining companies. Total financings raised in October 2018 increased 21% compared to the previous month, and were up 11% compared to October 2017. There were 144 financings in October 2018, compared with 96 in the previous month and 134 in October 2017.
