TORONTO, Oct. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for September 2013.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 12 new issuers in September 2013, up from 10 the previous month and up from 3 in September 2012. The new listings include 7 ETFs, 1 structured product, 1 mining company, 1 oil & gas company, 1 financial services company and 1 diversified industries company. Total financings raised in September 2013 was down 47% from August 2013 and was down 74% year-over-year. In September 2013, the total number of financings was 36, which is down from 47 the previous month and 42 in September 2012.
TSX Venture Exchange listed 8 new issuers in September 2013, which is up from 3 the previous month and up from 7 in September 2012. The new listings include 4 from the Capital Pool Company Program, 2 life sciences companies, 1 financial services company and 1 diversified industries company. In September 2013, total financings raised increased 7% from August 2013, but decreased 59% from September 2012. There were 125 financings in September 2013, compared to 111 in August 2013 and 137 in September 2012.
