TORONTO, Oct. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for September 2014
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 5 new issuers in September 2014, up from 4 the previous month, and down from 12 in September 2013. The new listings included 4 exchange traded funds and 1 life sciences company. Total financings raised in September 2014 increased 128% compared to August 2014, and increased 369% compared to September 2013. The total number of financings in September 2014 was 54, up from 41 the previous month, and up from 36 the same month a year earlier.
TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 5 new issuers in September 2014, up from 4 in August 2014, but down from 8 in September 2013. The new listings included 3 companies from the Capital Pool Company program, 1 life sciences company and 1 mining company. Total financings raised in September 2014 increased 67% from August 2014, and increased 85% from September 2013. There were 122 financings in September 2014, up from 107 in August 2014, but down from 125 in September 2013.
