TNW Announces Appointment of J. Owen Gilbert as President, and Eric Unrau as SVP of Sales and Marketing
VANCOUVER, Dec. 11, 2014 /CNW/ - Vancouver-based Teliphone Navigata-Westel ("TNW"), is pleased to announce the appointment of J. Owen Gilbert as President of TNW.
Mr. Gilbert has had a successful career in telecommunications spanning over 21 years and has been a valued member of the executive team. Most recently Mr. Gilbert held the role of Chief Strategy Officer where he was responsible for planning and executing on the strategic direction of the organization. Beginning with the company in 1999 as Manager of Switch Engineering and Network Planning, Owen has progressively moved through the organization in executive roles within operations, marketing, and sales, giving him the hands-on experience and leadership skills to grow the organization and increase shareholder value. As President, Mr. Gilbert will play an integral role in executing the company's strategic growth initiatives, long term corporate positioning, and providing oversight to the company.
Chief Executive Officer, Sandeep Panesar, stated, "We are very excited to move Owen into this position where he and I will work side by side to lead this organization to greater successes".
Mr. Eric Unrau has been appointed Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Unrau is a telecom industry veteran with a proven ability to bring innovative technologies to market. Prior to this appointment, in his former role as VP – Product and Marketing, he was responsible for leading the national sales, product and marketing efforts as well as leading the organization's massive CLEC expansion program. As SVP of Sales and Marketing, Eric will focus his efforts on expanding TNW's Sales team, gaining market share and continuing to grow TNW's reach and product portfolio.
