Today's Parent Announces the Top Toys for 2010
Today's Parent is the number one place to find the hottest toys this year
TORONTO, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - Today's Parent announces the Top Toys for 2010 in time for the holiday season. These toys have been approved by the toughest critics of all - kids!
The 2010 Today's Parent toy-testing program had 54 volunteer families. We tested more than 750 samples of approximately 150 different toys. Each family submitted reviews of the toys to our Toy Editor, Sandra Martin. The feedback and reviews helped Sandra choose the Top Toys for 2010.
Today's Parent also sent all infant, toddler and preschool toys to the McMaster University Occupational and Environmental Health Laboratory in Hamilton for lead and cadmium testing. The lab has confirmed that all of our Top Toys for these age groups meet, and exceed, Health Canada standards.
Also to help parents this holiday season, Today's Parent launched its first mobile application, the Today's Parent Gift Finder for iPhone, iTouch and iPad. The free Today's Parent Gift Finder lets users find the perfect toy for any child based on age, play preference and price range. Users can also create wish lists for each child they are buying for and share the list with others through email, Facebook and SMS. The majority of the toys in the Gift Finder are from the Today's Parent Top Toys program. In the spirit of the season, users who download the app will receive a special code which entitles them to save $5 off any purchase of $25 of more at Toys"R"Us stores across Canada or online at toysrus.ca.
The Today's Parent Gift Finder iPhone app will be available exclusively to Rogers Wireless and Fido customers when accessing through a 3G connection and, and to all users via their Wi-Fi connection. The content can also be accessed on all Web-enabled mobile phones at Todaysparent.com.
The 2010 Top Toy Guide is available in the November issue of Today's Parent, currently on newsstands. A full listing is available online at Todaysparent.com.
