Tom Bateman, County Engineer, County of Essex is elected 2nd Vice President, Board of Directors

OAKVILLE, ON, March 9, 2012 /CNW/ - During the inaugural Board of Directors meeting held Wednesday, February 29 2012, Tom Bateman, County Engineer, County of Essex, was elected to the position of 2^nd Vice President on the OGRA Board of Directors.

Tom has served as a Director on the Board since 2006 when he was elected to represent the Southwest Zone. Through his pro-active participation in the Detroit River International Crossing plans and involvement with such innovative projects as accelerated construction methodologies, OGRA has gained tremendous knowledge over the last six years.

The Board of Directors responsibility is to set policy and provide direction to OGRA.

The mandate of the Ontario Good Roads Association is to represent the infrastructure interests of municipalities through advocacy, consultation, training and the delivery of identified services.
