Top 20 Dividend Trust Confirms Final Redemption Date

TORONTO, April 4, 2017 /CNW/ - Scotia Managed Companies Administration Inc. (the "Manager"), the manager of the Top 20 Dividend Trust (the "Trust"), announced today that the Trust will terminate and wind up on May 31, 2017 in accordance with the terms of the Trust's declaration of trust.  Accordingly, all of the Trust's outstanding units (the "Units") will be redeemed on or about May 31, 2017 (the "Termination Date") and the Units will be delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange at such time.

Prior to the Termination Date, the Manager will sell and convert to cash all of the Trust's property and all cash remaining after paying or providing for all liabilities and obligations of the Trust will be distributed to unitholders on a pro-rata basis on or about May 31, 2017.

The units of the Trust are listed for trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol TTY.UN.
