Top broker Sean Moynihan joins Avison Young in Atlanta
Office-tenant representation specialist becomes a Principal
ATLANTA, July 25, 2012 /CNW/ - Steve Dils, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Atlanta office, announced today that leading real estate professional Sean Moynihan has joined Avison Young's brokerage operations in Atlanta.
Effective immediately, Moynihan joins Avison Young as a Principal. He will focus on his specialty of office-tenant representation in Atlanta and the Southeast U.S., where he will work with tenants to enhance cash flow, develop strategies for real estate expense management, and assist on long-range planning to mitigate organizational risk. Moynihan was most recently a Senior Vice-President with Grubb & Ellis in Atlanta.
"Sean is recognized as one of the rising stars among brokerage professionals in Atlanta, and I am thrilled to have him join us," comments Dils. "His impeccable character and proven ability to deliver best-in-class solutions for his clients is very impressive and a direct match for Avison Young's culture and platform. He has a huge career ahead of him and will make a major impact at Avison Young."
Moynihan brings nine years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, he served as Managing Director of Newmark Knight Frank's Atlanta office, advising clients in a variety of industries and using strategic planning to meet tenants' unique office real estate needs.
Moynihan is a two-time winner of the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Deal of the Year Award (2006, 2008). He is also active in his community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Carl Sanders Buckhead YMCA and as Boys Director of Academy for Gwinnett Soccer Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ where he was a three-year starter and captain on the NCAA Division 1 soccer team.
"I am looking forward to this next significant step in my career," says Moynihan. "I have been impressed with the rapid and amazing growth of Avison Young over the past couple of years and believe that the Avison Young platform, coupled with the company's outstanding leadership, will allow me to service my clients in a superior manner. I am also looking forward to working with my new colleagues in the collaborative environment that exists in the Atlanta office as well as across the company."
Over the past three years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 32 offices and from 300 to more than 950 real estate professionals across Canada and the U.S.
