TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay to Participate in Canada Day Celebrations in Ottawa on July 1 Français
Pan Am flame to visit Kanata, Parliament Hill and Barrhaven
TORONTO, June 29, 2015 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, July 1, Day 32 of the Pan Am Games Torch Relay, presented by President's Choice® and OLG, the Pan Am flame will visit Kanata, Parliament Hill and Barrhaven for Canada Day celebrations.
The Pan Am flame will celebrate and share the Pan Am spirit in Ottawa as part of the Canada Day festivities. The relay day will begin at Clarke Fields Park where community torchbearer Kayla Maduk will arrive carrying the Pan Am flame to light the community cauldron. The Pan Am flame will then travel to Parliament Hill and make an appearance on the noon show as part of Canada's biggest birthday celebration. The day will conclude at Walter Baker Park in Kanata with community torchbearer Jayden Jonson-Lemieux lighting the community cauldron.

- Flame will take part in the Canada Day in Barrhaven celebrations
- Community torchbearer Kayla Maduk will light the community cauldron at 11:45 a.m.

- Flame will take part in the noon show Canada Day celebrations

Community celebration:
- Flame will take part in the Canada Day in Kanata celebrations
- Community torchbearer Jayden Johnson-Lemieux will arrive at 5:30 p.m. carrying the Pan Am flame and will light the cauldron
The Pan Am Games Torch Relay is a 41-day journey that will share the Pan Am spirit in more than 130 communities. The torch relay is one of the most exciting events as it sets the stage leading up to the Games. There will be more than 3,000 torchbearers and 180 community celebrations taking place.

About the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay
The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay, presented by President's Choice® and OLG, is supported by community partner CIBC, signature supporters Star Media Group and Metroland Media, Ontario Trillium Foundation and Porter Airlines, and funding parties the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario. The torch relay will invite Canadians to celebrate and share the Pan Am spirit throughout its 41-day journey towards Toronto, the Host City of the Games.
The torch relay starts May 30, 2015, and concludes July 10, 2015, with the dramatic lighting of the cauldron at the Opening Ceremony in downtown Toronto.
