Toronto Argonauts players to serve Thanksgiving dinner at Salvation Army ahead of home game
TORONTO, Oct. 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, ahead of the team's Friday night home game, members of the Toronto Argonauts will once again partner with The Salvation Army to serve a community dinner to more than 500 people at The Salvation Army Toronto Harbour Light Ministries in downtown Toronto. Argonauts players will serve dinner and visit with members of the community in an effort to spread holiday cheer to those less fortunate. This year marks the 17th anniversary of the partnership between the Argonauts and Salvation Army.
Commented Toronto Argonauts Executive Chairman & CEO, Chris Rudge, "As we give thanks this holiday season, we are humbled to know how important this annual tradition has become for those in Toronto who are marginalized and may not be able to have a Thanksgiving meal. Our players have always been committed to our local community, and we are pleased to once again team-up with the Salvation Army to do our part."
