MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 21, 2013 /CNW/ - For the second consecutive year, UPS announced it is a Proud Partner of the Toronto Blue Jays. To mark this strategic sponsorship alliance, Toronto Blue Jays alumni Joe Carter personally delivered season tickets to a select number of long-standing season ticket holders across the Greater Toronto Area in a UPS package car.
"I would like to thank everyone involved in arranging the personal delivery of my season tickets by Joe Carter and UPS Canada," said Stuart Turk, 2013 Blue Jays Season Ticket Holder. "Joe Carter's surprise visit to our house was truly one of the most amazing experiences for myself, my wife and daughter. It is something we will always remember."
"What better way to thank some of our loyal season ticket holders than to personally deliver their tickets to their door," said Paul Beeston, CEO and President, Toronto Blue Jays. "And who better to help us with that delivery than Joe Carter and UPS!"
Over the last decade, UPS has expanded its capabilities far beyond small package delivery, giving the company the ability to handle the most complex logistical challenges through the most diverse portfolio of package, freight and supply chain management services in the industry.
"We are continually looking for innovative ways to connect with customers and build awareness of our efficient logistics capabilities," said Michael Tierney, President, UPS Canada. "The Toronto Blue Jays continually show their commitment to their fans, have a rich legacy, strong ties to their community and are a nationally recognized brand. These attributes align very well with UPS's culture."
