Toronto Eaton Centre announces extended hours of operation

Downtown Toronto's premier shopping centre to extend operating hours as of August 31^st 2013

TORONTO, Aug. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Beginning Saturday, August 31^st 2013, Toronto Eaton Centre will extend hours of operation from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.

The decision to extend hours of operation was carefully considered by both The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Ltd. and Toronto Eaton Centre. Research indicated that tenants and shoppers are interested in having the option to shop during the hours many other retailers within the GTA consider standard hours of operation.

"Ultimately it is our responsibility to offer the utmost convenience for our guests, which includes providing competitive accessibility to our retailers," said Meredith Vlitas, Senior Marketing Director, Toronto Eaton Centre.

Extended hours will run until Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Thereafter, the success of this initiative will be reviewed to determine the viability of extending Centre hours on an ongoing basis.
