Toronto Eaton Centre kicks off Christmas Season with Remixed Fashion Show
The REMIX Project and FLARE Magazine put a spin on the season's hottest styles
TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - On November 14, 2013, Toronto Eaton Centre will kick off downtown Toronto's Christmas season with a two-part fashion presentation curated by FLARE Magazine and reinterpreted by The REMIX Project.
"Toronto Eaton Centre is proud to be located within an incredible multicultural city and we embrace this diversity throughout our Christmas celebrations," said Meredith Vlitas, Senior Marketing Director, Toronto Eaton Centre. "This year, we look forward to having our guests join us in seeing Christmas a little differently, as we celebrate the season of giving and shine light on local talent."
Beginning at noon in Centre Court, models from Elite will encircle Toronto Eaton Centre's 50-foot Christmas tree while FLARE Magazine Senior Style and Market Editor, Truc Nguyen, shows off FLARE's hottest minimalist and maximalist trends for holiday 2013.
At 6 p.m., the fashion show finale will feature styling from graduates of The REMIX Project, while a DJ conducts live remixes on traditional and contemporary Christmas songs selected by guests in real-time, through social media.
"Throughout November, we will announce additional programs aimed at providing inclusive and exciting activities for our guests and their families this Christmas, while giving back to those who need it most within our community," said Vlitas.
The evening will introduce many Christmas programs that will run throughout the season focused on bringing the spirit of Christmas to shoppers. As part of the launch, clothing from the evening, as well as a $250 Cadillac Fairview SHOP! CARD®, will be donated to Dress for Success.
