Facebook Fans asked to choose the cover of the utility's 2012 Corporate Responsibility (CR) Report

TORONTO, April 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited (Toronto Hydro) has launched a social media campaign to determine the new cover for its annual CR report.

The utility posted six of its best 2012 photos on its Facebook page and is asking customers to "like" their favourite cover. The photos showcase a range of Toronto Hydro initiatives that support the city it serves, including the utility's capital infrastructure renewal program, community outreach initiatives and storm response.

The campaign runs from April 2 - 12, and the image that receives the most likes will earn the coveted spot on the cover of the 2012 CR report.

"We value our customers' feedback and this is a fun way to get them involved in the reporting process," says Blair Peberdy, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, Toronto Hydro. "This is a part of our ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders in our CR initiatives and it will be interesting to find out which image resonates most with this group."

Toronto Hydro publishes a CR report annually and it can be found at torontohydro.com/responsibility.  The utility's 2012 report will be released in late spring/early summer.
