Toronto Hydro-lert #9: Crews working through the night to restore final customers
TORONTO, Nov. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited (Toronto Hydro) is reporting that approximately 150 customers remain without power as a result of heavy winds earlier today.
At the present time:
- Work volumes are higher than normal at 175% of usual business operations.
- Based on the current work volume, the average time for crews to arrive onsite is 2 hours.
- Current restoration time for all calls is 4.5 hours.
Toronto Hydro will continue to work throughout the night until all power is restored. Crews are making good progress clearing fallen tree limbs and power lines. The majority of large limbs have now been removed. Customers are reminded to stay back from downed wires and to report them at 416-542-8000.
