Toronto Hydro recognized as a leader of consumer electrical safety
Toronto Hydro receives 2015 Ontario Electrical Safety Award
TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro is the proud recipient of the 2015 Ontario Electrical Safety Award in the category of Consumer and Home Safety.
Every year, the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) awards four recipients for their outstanding contribution to the advancement of electrical safety. This year, the ESA recognized our steadfast commitment to consumers' electrical safety over the last year.
The electrical safety of employees and the public is our top priority. In 2014, our electrical safety awareness focus included contact voltage, safety inside and outside the home, powerline safety and emergency preparedness.
We've worked together with a number of partners including the ESA, City of Toronto, Toronto Fire Services and Toronto Community Housing to help ensure that safety messages reach the residents of Toronto.
