Toronto Hydro working to restore remaining 110 customers without power
TORONTO, March 15, 2015 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro crews made significant progress throughout the night and have restored service to all but 110 customers who remain without power. Moist weather conditions and mild temperatures on Saturday contributed to approximately 14 pole fires which resulted in outages affecting approximately 5,000 customers.
As of 9:30 a.m., the remaining outages have been isolated to the Royal York and Thompson Avenue area in Etobicoke. Most customers should be restored by noon today, however, approximately 10 customers may be without power for an extended period of time as crews work to complete more extensive repairs.
Customers are reminded to stay well clear of downed power lines, and report downed power lines, pole fires, and outages by calling 416-542-8000.
Thank you for your patience while we work to restore your power.
