June is National Electricity Month, the perfect time to think about conservation
TORONTO, June 3, 2016 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro is getting into communities across Toronto and helping to make it easier to conserve electricity this summer.
As part of National Electricity Month celebrations, we'll be attending community events across the city, starting on June 4 at the Rameses Shrine Temple in North York. We'll be educating customers on conservation and providing tips and tools to help conserve electricity and save on costs. We'll also be distributing energy efficiency prizes, such as drying racks for clothes and LED light bulbs.
To encourage conservation, here are our top tips for saving electricity this summer:
Toronto is a leader in conservation and our customers have decreased their average annual electricity consumption from 9,581 kWh in 2005 to just 7,338 in 2015.
