TORONTO, Aug. 21, 2014 /CNW/ - TOM*, the Official Toronto Men's Fashion Week announced today plans to host the Fall/Winter 2015 season of menswear collections after a successful inaugural event.

The first season of TOM* Fashion Week boasted 17 designer specific runway shows, the Men'sFashion4Hope Celebrity Charity Fundraiser, the first ever Emerging Menswear Design Award, EMDA, the launch of the official TOM* Magazine, a Wearable Technology runway show and Digital Lounge and even a TOM* Talks panel discussion series with Fashion Group International (FGI) Toronto.
Designers, editors and fashionistas alike traveled from all over the world to attend the inaugural season of menswear shows in Toronto including designers Paulo Succar from Mexico, TOTHEM from Italy, Paul Nathapol from Thailand and contributors from Vogue L'Uomo, Forbes Magazine, British GQ and Bullett Magazine NYC.
The Fairmont Royal York Hotel hosted the first season of runway shows including the Men'sFashion4Hope Celebrity Charity Fundraiser Presented by GotStyle. This invite only event featured celebrities and industry leaders walking the runway in the latest in menswear trends by GotStyle retail boutique to raise money for the Kol Hope Foundation for Children to benefit SickKids Hospital Toronto.
Celebrity walkers included recording artist Shawn Desman, Canadian top model Paul Mason, Canada's greatest boxer George Chuvalo, music legend Jarvis Church, Canadian Olympic medalist Dylan Moscovitch, Etalk Canada's Devon Soltendieck, Tim Warmels from The Bachelor, Steven & Chris of CBC's Designer Guys, Glenn & David Dixon, Carlos Bustamante from The Next Star, designer Christopher Bates and many more.
The grand finale to Toronto Men's Fashion Week was the Emerging Menswear Design Award, EMDA. After five finalists showed their Spring/Summer 2015 collections one winner was chosen and received a 10K cash prize toward their next collection.

Present at the award ceremony were the Judges, Susan Langdon (TFI Executive Director), David Dixon (Canadian Fashion Designer), Rick Williams (President of WFG Canada) and Adrian Mainella (President of The Aesthete) and patrons Kyla Morgan, Gloria Sanders, Rick Williams and Agnes Miranda.

In addition the jam-packed week of fashion events Toronto Men's Fashion Week launched it's own full color, glossy print, 120 page printed TOM* Magazine available in stores at Chapters and Indigo starting in September.
