KITCHENER WATERLOO, ON, May 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange will continue their 2012 Canadian Financing Series, "A Growth Platform for Canadian Entrepreneurs," in Kitchener Waterloo on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
This workshop is tailored to executives of local companies seeking growth capital. It will cover topics related to listing, such as the pros and cons of going public, how to prepare your company for listing, accessing capital and future financing options.

For the Kitchener Waterloo workshop, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange have partnered with Communitech, a not-for-profit organization that supports technology companies in the Waterloo area, as well as capital market professionals at Gowlings, Miller Thomson, M Partners, RBC Capital Markets, Versant Partners Inc. and Equicom. KPMG will also provide their perspective at one of the panels.
In 2011, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 480 new Canadian issuers, and equity capital raised was $51.1 billion on the exchanges. Together, the exchanges were sixth in the world for equity capital raised.
