Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange Launch 2012 Canadian Financing Series in Ottawa

OTTAWA, April 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange kick off their 2012 Canadian Financing Series, "A Growth Platform for Canadian Entrepreneurs", in Ottawa on Tuesday, April 10.

This workshop is tailored to executives of local-area companies seeking growth capital. It will cover topics related to listing, such as the pros and cons of going public, how to prepare your company for listing, accessing capital and future financing options.

In 2011, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 480 new Canadian issuers, and equity capital raised was $51.1 billion on the exchanges.  Together, the exchanges were sixth in the world for equity capital raised.
