TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2013 /CNW/ - 2010 Fields Medallist Elon Lindenstrauss (Hebrew University) will give a public lecture on September 30, 2013 in Toronto. His lecture will be part of the public opening for the 2013 Fields Medal Symposium. The Symposium honours a recent recipient of the Fields Medal, the most prestigious honour in mathematics, while advancing Canada's position in the global knowledge economy.
The Honourable Brad Duguid, Minister of Training, Colleges, and Universities, the Honourable Reza Moridi, Minister of Research and Innovation, and Paul Young, University of Toronto Vice President - Research will give remarks at the event.
