TORONTO, Feb. 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Second Harvest has appointed Alexa Clark and Cheri Dueck, Co-Chairs of Toronto Taste 2014. Now in its twenty-fourth year, Toronto Taste, presented by The Daniels Corporation, is the city's premier culinary event and single largest fundraiser for Second Harvest.
Taking place on Sunday, June 8, lakeside at Corus Quay, Toronto Taste will feature 70 of the city's top chefs and celebrated beverage purveyors all coming together to share their love of food and raise funds to support Second Harvest's food rescue program. Alexa and Cheri will lead a team of dedicated volunteers in supporting the Second Harvest team as they plan the ultimate culinary experience of the year for Toronto's food lovers.

Alexa is acknowledged as a pioneering adopter of social media, and in 2009 Alexa was named one of Canada's 20 leading women in social media. She has a deep background in building interactive solutions for major brands, and a natural talent for connecting people. Cheri Dueck
With over twenty years of leadership in the hospitality industry, Cheri is very excited to be joining Toronto Taste for the third year as co-chair and her seventh year as part of the steering committee. Cheri believes bringing awareness to the vast number of hungry Torontonians and Second Harvest's ability to fill that need with rescued food is vital to our community. As primary consultant for Blaze Dynamic Hospitality Group, she welcomes the challenges and rewards that come from supporting a unique and ever-changing event such as Toronto Taste. Cheri looks forward to again celebrating the incredible chefs, beverage purveyors, sponsors, volunteers and enthusiastic guests she gets to spend time with each year.
