Toronto to host She Rides Nite in February
Female Riders Will Celebrate Opening Night of Motorcycle Show-Toronto With Half-Price Admission and Exclusive Kawasaki Ninja ES300 Giveaway
TORONTO, Jan. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - Although the riding season is still a few months away, female motorcycle enthusiasts from across Southern Ontario will gather in Toronto next month when the Motorcycle Show-Toronto celebrates She Rides Nite on Friday, February 19. The festivities are part of the motorcycle manufacturers' national show tour which makes its only Ontario stop, February 19-21, at the Enercare Centre (formerly the Direct Energy Centre), Exhibition Place.
According to industry statistics, women account for 14 percent of all motorcycle owners and there's been a 30 percent increase in the number of female bikers over the past decade. Add to that a 2013 study commissioned by Harley-Davidson which concluded that women who ride are noticeably happier, it's no wonder more females are discovering the thrill of motorcycles.
At She Rides Nite, women will receive half-price admission after 5:00 pm, and can enter a ladies-only draw to win a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ES300. This bike boasts nimble handling, balanced suspension, and a silky-smooth ride that is irresistible to experienced track riders as well as novice road riders looking to sharpen their skills.
"She Rides Nite is all about encouraging women who ride, or are considering the sport, to gather up their girlfriends for a fun night out," said the Show's Manager, Neil Fardy. "In addition to the many female-friendly motorcycle models available, there's riding gear and clothing specially developed for women. We'll have industry experts on hand to provide information and advice specific to the needs of the female rider. Friday night parking is free for everyone, so we're looking forward to a great turnout again this year."
New to the Motorcycle Show–Toronto is the Torch Motorcycles Revv-olution. Torch is a community of female moto-enthusiasts who build new bikes, components, and apparel specifically designed with the female rider in mind. Their exhibit runs throughout the weekend and encompasses various aspects of riding that will be of interest to all enthusiasts.
