Toronto Youth and NHL Alumni team up with Scotiabank for United Way
Annual Scotia Hope Hockey Classic engages employees in support of a great cause
TORONTO, Dec. 9 /CNW/ - Scotiabank executives are teaming up with NHL greats Darryl Sittler, Rick Vaive, Mark Napier and Bill Derlago to join kids from Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Club, a local United Way sponsored agency, in a friendly hockey game in support of Scotia Hope, Scotiabank's 2010 United Way fundraising campaign.

WHY: | Scotia Hope, Scotiabank's 2010 employee fundraising campaign for United Way encourages employees to join the effort to give hope to neighbourhoods in the GTA. Through employee and corporate donations Scotiabank hopes to raise more than $5.6 million this year to help women, men, youth and children in our community. This money will help address the very serious challenges of hunger and homelessness and help Canadian newcomers and youth build new lives right across the GTA. |
