Toronto's Annual "Summerlicous" Prix Fixe Dining Event Returns to Toronto's Entertainment District
TORONTO, June 19, 2013 /CNW/ - On Thursday, June 20, 2013 Toronto's culinary neighbourhoods will open their reservation lines to patrons seeking the best menu values during the city's annual "Summerlicious" dining promotion. Exclusive "Summerlicious" prix fixe menus will be available at twenty-three of the Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area's (TOED) restaurants beginning July 5 and running through to July 21, 2013.
A total of 196 Toronto restaurants will be participate in this year's citywide "Summerlicious" dining event. According to Janice Solomon, Executive Director of TOED "…the Toronto Entertainment District represents one of the largest districts with the greatest concentration and widest variety of dining options. Our member restaurants have been welcoming "Summerlicious" patrons since 2003. The promotion unites like-minded diners and opens the doors to new valued customers in The District."
For Oliver Geddes, a participating TOED restaurant member and Owner of The Fifth Grill and Terrace, further supports Solomon's comments by stating that "Summerlicious" has proven to be a mutually beneficial program. We're inspired by the opportunity to introduce our cuisine and our venue to new customers, while also providing a high-quality value driven menu for our returning patrons."
The "Summerlicious" Entertainment District restaurants with a dinner only option include: Benihana at The Fairmont Royal York, Bloke & 4th, The Fifth Grill and Terrace, and Verona Ristorante. The pre fixe price for dinner at these restaurants ranges from $35 - $45 per person and is exclusive of taxes and gratuities.
In addition, nineteen "Summerlicious" lunch and dinner options are available in the Entertainment District and include: 259 Host, Aria Ristorante, Arriba Restaurant at Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel, Azure Restaurant at InterContinental Toronto Centre, Big Daddy's Bourbon Street Bistro & Oyster Bar, Bosk at Shangri-La Hotel Toronto, Canyon Creek Chophouse, EPIC at The Fairmont Royal York, Fred's Not Here, Il Fornello, Joe Badali's Ristorante Italiano, King Street Social at Hyatt Regency Toronto on King, La Fenice, Luma, Marcel's Bistro, Momofuku Daishō, Paese Ristorante, The Shore Club and Tutti Matti. The pre fixe lunch menus at these restaurants range from $15 to $25 per person. Their pre fixe dinner menus are set at a slightly higher rate, spanning $25 -$45 per person. All "Summerlicious" lunch and dinners are priced exclusive of taxes and gratuities.
