Toronto's top chefs and beverage purveyors get TASTE ready
The city's premier culinary event unites the finest chefs and beverage purveyors in support of food rescue for Toronto Taste 2013
TORONTO, April 23, 2013 /CNW/ - The line-up for Toronto's most anticipated culinary event of the year has been announced! Second Harvest's 23rd annual Toronto Taste features 65 of the city's top chefs and 35 celebrated beverage purveyors. Taking place on Sunday, June 9 at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto Taste will be hosted by culinary adventurer and proud Second Harvest ambassador Bob Blumer and celebrity chef and recording artist Roger Mooking.
For more than two decades, Toronto Taste has raised over $9 million to support Second Harvest's food rescue and delivery program, which takes donations of surplus fresh and frozen food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it to 215 local community agencies. The Daniels Corporation has been a proud supporter and presenting sponsor of Toronto Taste for the last 18 years.
As one of the very first culinary fundraisers in the city, Toronto Taste gives guests personal access to the city's top culinary talent, including Food Network chefs Mark McEwan, Michael Smith and many more. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy outstanding wines, premium beers and delectable dishes as they sip and stroll the grounds of the ROM.
A best-kept secret among wine collectors attending Toronto Taste, the on-site Fine Wine Auction features a global selection of exclusive and rare vintages sourced from private collections for drinking, cellaring and investment.
For 2013, we are pleased to present the finest chefs and beverage purveyors Toronto has to offer, featuring flavours for every palate, including:
