Torrential rain: Musée forced to cancel June 1 Nocturne, close Carsten Nicolai exhibition

MONTREAL, May 30, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Highly disappointing news today. Tuesday's torrential rain caused major damage to the drainage system, resulting in basement flooding at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. Work has begun on cleaning and decontaminating all spaces.

This unexpected situation has forced us to cancel the Nocturne event on June 1, featuring the Alaclair Ensemble, and to close the Carsten Nicolai exhibition, which was slated to end on June 17.

We deeply regret this turn of events and thank both the general public and the artists for their understanding.
