Traction on Demand & Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Drive B.C. Business with Multi-Year Technology Partnership
B.C. based businesses celebrate multi-year partnership
BURNABY, BC, May 12, 2015 /CNW/ - Three years ago, Burnaby, B.C.-based Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers embarked on a systems modernization initiative to allow the company to more effectively leverage new technologies, capture efficiencies, and drive further sales productivity.
To support them through the program, Burnaby-based cloud software consulting and development firm, Traction on Demand, was contracted for the project. Traction brought to the partnership almost a decade of experience in helping companies transform their business processes and extensive expertise on the Salesforce.com CRM platform, a keystone technology for Ritchie Bros.
Over the past several years, Ritchie Bros.' IT initiatives have continually evolved to support the requirements of Ritchie Bros.' growth objectives. The needs of the business and desire to use best-in-class technologies have led to a customized Salesforce.com platform, which Traction tailored to the unique needs of Ritchie Bros.
When asked to comment on the value of their partnership with Traction, Ritchie Bros. Director of IT, Murad Shabbir believes they've been an integral component to success. "Having a strong, consistent and innovative partner like Traction provides a high level of stability and assurance that these projects will be a success in the end. We're thankful for our partnership with Traction on Demand and happy to keep the business in B.C."
The admiration and thanks is mutual. Traction's CEO and Founder Greg Malpass believes the partnership has helped his company grow in size and reputation. "Working with the team at Ritchie Bros. has provided Traction with a high level of stability that has supported us in continuing along a strong growth curve. As well, the Ritchie Bros. partnership has created amazing opportunities for our staff to develop outside the box uses of the Salesforce platform and really live up to our motto of bending cloud-based technologies around individual business processes. For that, we're truly grateful to the entire Ritchie Bros. team."
The success of the partnership and the work completed over the past three years has provided Ritchie Bros. with the confidence to select Traction as its desired delivery partner for two additional IT modernization projects in 2015. "We're thrilled and honoured to work with Ritchie Bros. as they carry on down the road of modernizing their systems. This long term partnership demonstrates that B.C. has the people and skills needed to compete on an international scale," said Malpass.
