Driving a movement. With support from iATS Payments, the 2017 Bandit Tour for Good is delivering more impact than ever before.
BURNABY, BC, Oct. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - Traction on Demand's annual Bandit Tour for Good is back for the fifth straight year and will be supporting more organizations and delivering more good than ever before. Kicking off today at Science World in Vancouver, the Traction Bandits will be road-tripping to San Francisco, stopping along the way to support non-profit organizations with pro-bono Salesforce services and random acts of kindness.
Over the week-long tour, Traction's consultants will support 12 non-profits with Salesforce platform services and two Vancouver Island schools with coding classes.
"We believe the most meaningful way for Traction to support non-profits is by giving what we're good at. These organizations are solving some of the most important social challenges on the planet. The Bandit Tour was established so that Traction could help them achieve their mission through technology," said Michelle Malpass, Director of Community Performance for Traction on Demand and co-founder of the Bandit Tour for Good.
Recipient non-profits include the following four organizations:
- Vancouver: ONE TO ONE - A children's literacy program that provides one-to-one tutoring to children in elementary schools during regular school hours.
- Seattle: Art with Heart - An organization dedicated to supporting the emotional well-being of children adversely affected by hardship, using creativity to lead to inspired possibilities.
- Portland: The Epik Project - A mobilization strategy and leader in the anti-trafficking movement.
- San Francisco: City Surf Project - Teaches underserved youth from low-income communities in San Francisco valuable life skills through the sport of surfing.
Joining the Bandit Tour this year is iATS Payments, a Vancouver-based payment processor for non-profits. With their support, the breadth of expertise provided by the Tour expands greatly.
Andrew Mosawi, President at iATS Payments is excited for his team to participate. "As an organization built on supporting non-profits drive their mission through technology, we couldn't be more excited to join the Bandit Tour movement. Many organizations doing important work don't have the resources needed to think about operational efficiency, making efforts like the Bandit Tour so important."
