TRAILER PARK BOYS appearing in live web event on Saturday March 9 at 8pm EST

HALIFAX, March 7, 2013 /CNW/ - Swearnet.com will be hosting a live online Pay Per View event on Saturday March 9th at 8PM EST that will feature Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles of the Trailer Park Boys and other surprise guests.

SwearNet, the latest project from Mike Smith, Robb Wells, and John Paul Tremblay, is a web-based video network that will feature exclusive new content from the boys.

To celebrate the launch of the site, a special live Pay Per View event will be broadcast on Swearnet.com on Saturday March 9th at 8PM EST co-hosted by Ricky, Julian and Bubbles.

"My gold is to be the drunkest and highest man on the world pipe on March 39th (sic)," said Ricky during an announcement for the event. "Rick, its March 9th," corrected Julian.

Fans can pre-buy access to the event's live-stream for $4.20 at www.swearnet.com or purchase a platinum membership to the site for $49.99. The platinum membership is a year-long subscription to www.swearnet.com that gives members first access to tickets to live shows and movie screenings as well as the ability to Skype with the boys on www.swearnet.com.

"Every penny we make from this event goes back into creating content for Swearnet.com" said Robb Wells. "We want Swearnet to be like a regular TV network but everyone on it will talk the way people normally talk."

To promote the Pay Per View event, the boys launched Swear Idol, an online contest where fans can submit videos of themselves swearing and ranting about whatever angers them. The ten best entries will be broadcast live on the show and a winner will be chosen to fly to Nova Scotia and appear in a video with the boys. Anyone can enter at contest.swearnet.com.
