TransGlobe Apartment REIT Announces Delisting of 5.40% Extendible Convertible Unsecured Subordinated Debentures

TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2016 /CNW/ - TransGlobe Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:TGA.DB) (the "REIT") today announced that the REIT's 5.40% extendible convertible unsecured subordinated debentures (the "Debentures") have been delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") following the REIT's redemption of all of its Debentures.
As previously announced on August 5, 2016, the REIT provided notice, through its trustee, BNY Trust Company of Canada, under the trust indenture dated July 29, 2011, to debenture holders of its intention to redeem all of its Debentures for cash on October 1, 2016. The TSX has issued a bulletin confirming that trading of the Debentures was halted prior to markets opening on October 3, 2016 and delisted the Debentures following the closing of the TSX on October 3, 2016.
In connection with the delisting of the Debentures, REIT intends to cease to be a reporting issuer in each of the provinces and territories of Canada.
