VAUGHAN, ON, March 12, 2013 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Labour and Member of Parliament for Halton; along with the Honourable Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario; the Honourable Glen Murray, Ontario Minister of Transportation and Minister of Infrastructure; Bill Fisch, Chairman and CEO of The Regional Municipality of York; His Worship Maurizio Bevilacqua, Mayor of the City of Vaughan, and Karen Stintz, Toronto Transit Commission Chair and Toronto City Councillor (Ward 16 Eglinton-Lawrence), will visit the site of the future Highway 407 Station to mark the next stage of tunnel construction for the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension.

Directions:
Media will be designated to enter the site from Gate 1 located on the west side of Jane Street just south of Highway 407, across from Beechwood Cemetery. Media are required to sign in with Security at the Gate 1 entrance and will be directed to the media designated parking area. Parking will be located on the southwest side of the event location. Directional signage will be provided.
If travelling from east or west - Take either Highway 7 or Highway 407 to Jane Street and continue southbound on Jane, turning right at first set of lights south of Highway 407 into the construction site. Enter through Gate 1.
If travelling from north or south - Take Highway 400 to Highway 7. Take Highway 7 east toward Jane, and continue southbound on Jane, turning right at first set of lights south of Highway 407 into the construction site. Enter through Gate 1.
Note: The event will be held outdoors at a working construction site, it is mandatory that all media attending the event wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): hard hat, CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots or shoes, reflective vest and safety glasses along with clothing appropriate for inclement weather.
