Transportation Safety Board of Canada Deploying Team to Investigate an Air Accident Near Peterborough, ON Français
GATINEAU, QC, May 11, 2012 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying two investigators to the site of an accident involving a Grumman American AA-5 that was found 40 km south of Peterborough, ON. The aircraft departed on 7 May 2012 and was later reported missing. It was found by search and rescue authorities on 10 May. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
