Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys a team to St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, to investigate an incident involving the container vessel MSC Monterey Français
DARTMOUTH, NS, Dec. 31, 2013 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying a team tomorrow afternoon to St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador to investigate the damage suffered at sea by the container vessel MSC Monterey leading to the evacuation by air of 4 passengers and emergency response by search and rescue authorities. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
