Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys an investigator to a derailment near Pemberton, BC Français
GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying an investigator to the site of a derailment where a rail car toppled off an overpass onto Highway 99 (Sea-to-Sky Highway) near Pemberton, British Columbia. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that advances transportation safety by investigating occurrences in the marine, pipeline, rail and air modes of transportation. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
