Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys an investigator to a pipeline accident near Fort St. John, British Columbia Français
GATINEAU, QC, June 29, 2012 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying an investigator to the site of a pipeline accident near the Nig Compressor Station located north of Fort St. John, British Columbia. The ruptured pipeline transports sour natural gas with a hydrogen sulphide (H2S). There are no injuries reported at this time. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
