Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys an investigator to the site of a derailment near Wynyard, Saskatchewan Français
WINNIPEG, May 21, 2013 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying an investigator to the site of a derailment near Wynyard, Saskatchewan. This morning, a CP train derailed 5 tank cars containing petroleum crude oil, 4 are on their side and 1 is still standing but was punctured and is leaking. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
