Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys investigator to a runway incursion at the Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International Airport Français
GATINEAU, QC, March 14, 2013 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed an investigator to gather information on a runway incursion at the Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International Airport.
On 11 March 2013 at 23:40 local time, a maintenance van inadvertently rolled onto an active runway and an Air Canada Embraer 190 narrowly missed it while landing. The TSB is assessing this occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
