Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys investigators to air accident in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
EDMONTON, Aug. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will deploy a team of investigators to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, where a Douglas DC-3 operated by Buffalo Airways landed short of the runway. There were no reported fatalities or injuries to those aboard. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
